Fireworks worth around £12,000 have been stolen from a container on a farm in Penkirdge. Shopkeepers in the Black Country have already been offered a selection of fireworks believes to have been stolen from the container. The large quantity of fireworks were taken last weekend with the theft reported to the police on Monday morning. Police are now issuing a warning to shopkeepers in Staffordshire and across the West Midlands that they may also be offered stolen goods and to get in touch if they were approached. The owner reported the crime to police who are now trying to trace the stolen fireworks and the offenders responsible for the theft. A shopkeeper in Sedgley has come forward to police saying he had been offered some fireworks. A shop in Dudley Road, Wolverhampton was also offered stolen fireworks which are branded SP and include Halloween Ghost Rockets, Infinity Rockets, Stardust Rockets and Illusion Barrage Rockets.
